Hmm! I am not expert, but this is what I’ve figured out: Two litter boxes. (We only have one, and it is not enough, a new one is to be acquired after Swancon) If you can afford it, a scratching post/place to sit etc thing, though Kira’s favourite place right now is a big cardboard box. I don’t know about training a kitten since we got Kira as an adult, and she’s not super happy with her leash so we probably followed the stuff we found online wrong. Get a harness, NOT a collar. We have a loooong extendable lead which allows us to just sit and let her wander the garden, but you may not be as lazy as us :D A mix of dry and wet food. Be prepared to spend a lot of time entertaining her for a while, kittens are kind of needy and she will have no other distraction! (unless you have other cats)

AHOY TUMBLR, I HAVE A QUESTION TO CROWDSOURCE. Do any of y’all followers or tag-trackers have any experience with cosmetic colored contacts? Any anecdotes or advice to share? I’m curious about them for fashion and costuming, but I don’t actually know anything about how well they work, if they…

My only experience is with prescription lenses, I’d never worn contacts before and got the sort that are coloured on the rim and fade to clear in the middle, and NOBODY COULD TELL THE DIFFERENCE (my eyes are dark brown with a dash of green). I never entirely got the hang of putting them in either, so gave up on wearing them. I went to a optometrist, which I recommend, learning how to deal with contacts and getting the right ones is kind of involved.

I am confused.

This whole thing is also a rather depressing reminder of how powerless we Australians are in the face of a US controlled and dominated internet. Well, except for the Australian politicians trying to censor the internet here in a whole other way YAY.

EDIT: Apparently not. Good, good, would hate to have to find a different way to kill time :)

The picture on top is currently being heralded as one of the best fan art depictions of Chell to date.

Unfortunately, the artist for this work seemed to lighten Chell’s skin and made her features far more more white than what is presented in the actual game, turning it into another case of a character of color being whitewashed.

I saw the top image without commentary at least three times on my dash today. I am angry as usual, but now I’m just going to take a page from inverts and draw fanart. With Chell as the WoC she is, with a face free from makeup, bare feet (the new fallboots…. WHY), and realistic messy hair.
