I haven’t felt like drawing much recently and I find it a little disturbing that I look at this list and think “That all sounds like lots of fun to draw!”

I edited and recut it a bit to remove errors and repetition, something that ended up getting lost is the fact that if you stick with maths when you think you’re bad, and get competent help with the aspects you’re struggling with, you should be able to achieve a lot of improvement, and maybe even find you’re not “bad at maths” after all. Skills are more learned than innate (something I need to remind myself of more often, I would say, based on this stream of consciousness rant)

I ADORED him in North and South, but I must admit Thorin isn’t doing it for me, he looks a little bit too much like a Klingon. (Aiden Turner as Kili, on the other hand…) I am open to being won over during the film, he will still have that sexy voice after all :)

Write love letters to each other and place into a box along with a bottle of wine.nail it shut at the wedding. When you have your first fight, open it up, pour the wine, go to separate corners, read the love letter & remember what it’s all about….

Ok, I’m not going to tell anyone how to run their relationship or wedding ceremony. But I have SERIOUS ISSUES with the idea that arguing with someone has anything to do with “forgetting why you love them”, and can’t help but think about how arguments have tended to go in my last two relationships:
Me: This thing you have done or said has upset me
BF1: So you’re saying…you hate me?
Me: No!
BF1: Because it feels like you don’t love me any more. Your hurtful words are reminding me of all my childhood trauma, how can you be so cruel? :( :(
Me: Of course I love you!
BF1: I love you too! So…you’re not angry at me?
Me: …..no
BF1: LET’S NEVER ARGUE AGAIN <3
Me: This thing you have done or said has upset me.
BF2: Well maybe it was entirely justified! What about (other related thing) YOU said or did?
Me: THAT’S TOTALLY…ok, you have a point there. But so do I! And I am still upset!
BF2: Ok, yeah, you do also have a point. I am also still upset, but I’m sorry I upset you. Thanks for bringing this up, I didn’t realise it was such a big deal for you.
Me: Me either, sorry. Let’s see if we can figure out some way to avoid both sets of behaviour.

The first boyfriend was an abusive arsehole with whom I had a total of one real argument and that only after we broke up (not counting the “I’m dumping you” “No you’re not” argument). The second is now my husband, and we argue every now and then, despite neither of us being in any danger of forgetting why we married each other. GUESS WHICH I PREFER.

Hahaha. I can’t count the number of times I’ve woken up to Cam saying “Look at this adorable photo I took of you while you were asleep! YOU ARE SO CUTE”. So clearly creepy photo taking is the key to a long and happy relationship :)

Man, ANYONE is welcome to reply to my posts. I only follow people if I find myself clicking back through at least 2-3 pages of their tumblr wanting more of whatever they’re posting, so not following doesn’t mean I don’t like you.
